Cellist of a diverse range of musical genres and interests, including silence and listening, Robin is currently composing a soundtrack for her upcoming book, The Adventures of Bunny - افسانهٔ خرگوش.  Release and event dates coming in 2025.

While her early training was rooted in western and contemporary classical music styles; it was her curiosity, extensive travel, and collaborative performances which have defined a uniquely personal and captivating playing style. She has been heard at Newport Folk Festival, Kennedy Center Millenium Stage, SXSW, and recently joined Portugal-based ensemble Além Cabul.

She authored an illustrated book, The Adventures of Bunny - افسانهٔ خرگوش, drawing from her personal experiences working within music and cultural contexts in Afghanistan for nearly a decade.  A five year collaboration with master artist Kaihan Hamidi has resulted in a set of bespoke, hand-painted miniatures perfectly illuminating and illustrating the story.

As an educator and activist, she holds a decade of experience in advisory positions to arts and cultural initiatives around the world, including at the Afghanistan National Institute of Music. She also established and ran a youth and community-led arts program in Kabul, connecting young musicians, graffiti-artists, activists, writers, filmmakers, and more.

She continues to be a mentor and advocate for Afghan musicians and artists, assisting with pathways towards education and continued acts of preserving musical and cultural practices.

She graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy, Indiana University, and is an alum of New England Conservatory.
